I own a Nexus 5 and it is rooted running stock ROM and custom recovery. As we know Google has started rolling out 4.4.3 update for the device.
My question is will I receive the update for my device in the present state or do I have to unroot it to get the update?
Unfortunately you can not accept an update (OTA) directly because of root, even though you'll still receive a notification for it.
The easiest way to update is to wait for a dv to pre-package root into the latest update and flash that. Or, you could unroot, accept the update, and re-root using Wug's Nexus Toolkit (super easy).
