You mean the automatic screen on function when you receive a notification?
If that's the one you're looking for, I'd recommend installing AcDisplay from the Play Store.
If you're looking for the always-listening Google Voice Search (even when the screen is off), there aren't really any ways of enabling that on your Nexus 5 without completely destroying battery life. Guillaume Lesniak did make a battery-friendly proof-of-concept port of those features, but he hasn't made that softMod available to the public yet. I'm keeping an eye on that for further developments, and if he ever makes it available, I'll have a tutorial up on it in no time.
